BETWEEN LINES (2009/Hooper) Between Lines reflects on the unseen truths of an individual's character revealed only when challenged by one's peers. BOXED (2006/Djelassi)
Boxed is a high enery trio that has been recognized by The Boston Globe as a crowd pleaser. Three technically trained dynamic dancers strive to think outside of the box while being tormented with the repetitive nightmare-ish act of trying. While circling the perimeter of the box they find themselves returning back to the same place while stopping briefly to lend a hand. Resulting in exhaustion one may even decide that inside of the box is better.

THE CHALLENGE (2006/Hooper)
The Challenge explores on the stage with high energy, intricate patterning and choreographic duals between groups of dancers. This work was created to challenge Hooper by choreographing herself into the work as a performer, forcing her to give up the complete outside vantage point of creating a work.
ELEMENT (2006/Hooper and Djelassi)
THE FOURTH QUARTET (2007/Hooper) The Fourth Quartet is set to the Smith Quartet's version of Triple Quartet I, II, III which is a Steve Reich 12-part composition whereby a recording of the work is layered behind the live performance. Hooper has added the fourth layer to the work through her choreography using a main quartet of dancers accompanied by 6 additional dancers adding even greater layers to the existing musical score. The work is intense, driving, geometric, and intricately designed as the dancers are pushed to their limits bringing fervor of energy to the stage.

QUINTESSENCE (2006/Hooper)
REVERIE'S MUSE (2007/Djelassi) Have you ever just wanted a minute alone? When you get it, can you release from the monotony? Reverie's Muse reminds us of a state of daydreaming where the everyday goings on repeat over again and again. This three section work opens with a solo dancer who introduces us to many ideas through subtle feminine movements. Her daydream begins with the second section of music where eight askew dancers arrive adorned with tutus. Heads tilted to the side, we are introduced to war-like cries and the idea of Gezebel. Throughout the second section there are hints of politics, personalities, child-like playfulness, rude remarks and just about anything each individual viewer might have available in his/her psyche. Designed to create a different and personal situation for the viewer, the dancer's movement is just abstract enough to be perceived in many different ways. At the end of this piece, the question should be what did you see, and what does that say about you?
SELF PORTRAIT (2008/Hooper) Self Portrait is a solo work choreographed to Kronos Quartet's Tabu and Mini Skirt, two quirky and multi layered musical compositions. The soloist works with a full length rotating mirror throughout the piece. The mirror is whom she is dancing for and to, representing her own self in reflection of who she is and what she has become. Half way through the piece, she realizes that she is being watched by the audience behind her at which point she shifts her focus away from the isolation of the mirror allowing her to open up to the entirety of the space surrounding her. The mirror now becomes more of a prop than a reflection of her self allowing her to fly with freedom throughout space, play with the audience and expand her range of movement as she plays with the rotating mirror like a child on a merry-go-round.
